YOU ASKED, CHAD ANSWERED!!

Over the last year or so we've been gathering questions from Chad's many fans around the world. During a recent visit with Chad on the set of his latest movie production, SAVE ME, we were able to get him to sit relatively still enough to ask him the best of the questions asked.

We're going to periodically post a few answers at a time to make this even more fun. So keep coming back for all the answers!

What is a perfect day to you?

“A perfect day?  It usually involves love; whether it’s my family or boyfriend.  It generally always involves the outdoors.  I’m usually at the beach or sometimes the mountains and hiking.  Just getting to share and laugh and be with loved ones.”

How do you choose the roles/projects that you have been in or will be in?  Has this process changed over the years and if so, in what way(s)?

“It’s changed only in the sense that I’m producing now and I have a lot of access to projects directly that I’ve been picking and deciding we have to do and to creating them myself.  It used to be a lot of just waiting around for your agent to call; I do less of that and less auditioning and more producing and creating my own stuff now, which, I think, is the way it’ll stay.”

What is your funniest off screen memory for Dr. Quinn?

“When Joe Lando and I went horseback riding, we stole horses to go horseback riding and the grass was wet and we were riding across the grass, and the horse slipped.  The horse was fine but he went down and he tried to get the grass stains off the horse so they wouldn’t notice.”

When you were in Panama you took a lot of photos of your experiences filming down there, and you also published some of them into a type of  memory book on the internet.  Judging the quality of the photos, it appears that this is more than just a hobby for you? I’m interested in hearing when it became something you realized you love to do, because I’m guessing the camera is something that you’ve always had with you wherever you go.  It would  be interesting to know if you are a digital or manual photographer.

“Yeah, I love taking pictures.  I started taking pictures when I was a little boy.  I took some photo classes in college, but, you know, I’ve never crossed over into the realm of professional digital photography.  So, maybe some day, but it’s a fun hobby and I love standard 35mm.”

What is a perfect day to you?

From what I can gather about you, it seems that you are extremely busy.  Have you always been like this?  Also, what keeps you going so strong?

“Pretty much.  I’ve tried to learn how to slow down the last few years and to enjoy myself a little bit more.  That’s why I enjoy cycling.  I surf and I do those things.  But, yeah, I’ve always been a guy, as I’ve always said it, I run on high octane and I’m always looking for, you know, if I don’t have a place to put that energy or an idea or come to work on, you know, it’s easy to see that kind of turn against you.  So we try to use our powers for good...[laughs]...and keep at it.”

I know that you like to keep your personal life private, but what do you like to do for fun to relax when you are not hard at work?

“Well, I love to surf and snowboard, obviously.  That was a good time out there playing baseball with the kids. Riding my bike a lot; I love riding my bike.”

Of all the episodes of Our House, which one was your favorite?

“The one where my father died and visited me in my dreams.”

If I could walk up to the president USA of today and say something I would probably say?

“You’re fired.”

If somebody asked me to pick out my favorite movie in a video store I would probably come home with... (other than End of the Spear)?

“Empire of the Sun”

My favorite place in my home is?

“My meditation spot.”

Country I’m dying to go to someday is...?

“Australia.”

What would be your daily reminder to people?

“To thine own self be true.”
