1) I have loved the Donald Strachey films having read the books years ago. Does anyone know how to get "ICE BLUES" in DVD format American dvd.
2) I have been with my partner for 32 years and it so charming and endearing to see Chad's portrayal in this series.
3) I also was very touched by his stand (and inclusion) of the focus on the family protests in the DVD.

I would like to thank you for your work that you do for charity's and gay rights...I was raised in church, but I believe totally different than what I was taught. I'm from a very conservative area and it's not easy being gay.. I have a really great story, but you don't have time for it...I just want to say if churches would take the money that is spent nationally on protesting gay rights and things that are associated with us and spend it on hungry children, homeless people, aids victims and other poor people the U.S. would be better off for example gay pride 07 in Atlanta there was several million dollars spent on advertisements protesting it by Christian organizations....that money could have been used to help feed and shelter the thousands that are homeless in the area of Atlanta!...what would Jesus do?...I think they need to ask themselves that question! best of luck in all you do for us...

Hi Chad I just want to say thanks for your support of GLBT plays and movies where the people are portrayed an normal everyday folks. I am a older gay man approaching 50. If you were to meet me in the street and talk with me you would not know I was gay, nor would you know that I have been with my partner for more than 15 years. When people find out I am gay they are puzzled as they tend to expect a 'queen' or some other stereotype. But I just explain that I am average fellow who 'prefers the same plumbing on his partner as he has on himself' That's and an a friendly nature has won many people over to accepting that gays are just like any other people. Myself and my partner are accepted and respected by our friends, co-workers, and many others as a long term couple. Please - keep up the great work at showing that gay people are like any other people by promoting non-stereotype plays.

Hi Chad, I really loved you in the 1986 series OUR HOUSE, which I desperately tried to get back on TV or on DVD. Till recently after a such a long time I got 'em on DVD ( not an official release ). And to show my appreciation, I put some complete episodes on Youtube. Patience is a blessing! But recently I cant wait for the UK release of your work in END OF THE SPEAR. It was so exhilarating and suspenseful and created a lot of contradictory emotions! Which I very much like in a movie! The Donald Strachey series was amazing as well, and so provocative but without insulting or pointing the finger! I liked the 50s style outfit of that show. And subsequently, thanks for your autographed picture ( including your twin sister ) in 1990. It certainly made me proud to be part of you ( at least in a fan matter ). I went tonight and saw 'Save Me' and just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it. I had seen a review of it months ago in one of the local gay magazines and after having read that, have been waiting in anticipation for it to FINALLY be released, and I wasn't disappointed. I think that the whole cast, especially Chad, Robert and Judith did a really great job. I'm also glad that it was a 'balanced' story and not one- sided, which it certainly could have been. Even though I totally disagree with the whole ‘reeducation’ of gay people to being straight, it was nice that Judith’s part was written as someone who actually has a heart and believes she is right without being a totally rigid, autocratic bible-thumper (though many are). I hope that the word really gets out on the movie and a lot of people see it, gay and straight. And personally, I think this should be viewed by churches, more so than "The Passion of the Christ"- this is much more relevant and important, and maybe some of them will learn something. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. I hope this will lead to more excellent films from Chad and Roberts' new production company. I also enjoy the 'Donald Strachey' films and am looking for the third one to be released on DVD soon. The best of luck to Chad, and hopefully more celebrities will follow his lead.

I just had my first tiny taste of Chad Allen on the episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation called, Suddenly Human and thought, "Wow, cute kid and he sure can act". That steely look. I have just discovered the "Donald Strachey" mystery movies, and I can tell you that I am so happy that they made movies that portray us gays with dignity and real relationships. I would also like Chad Allen to know that I admire him and thank him for what he does to help the gay community. Just acting in these movies, he has helped thousands of young gay men and women to show them that they are normal and can live a real life with a spouse and a family. I do not think that people like Chad can really grasp the enormity of the impact that they have on others that are looking for something to hold onto. I am very proud of Chad and am glad to be a part of the gay community. Chad has renewed my faith in myself and my hope for finding someone to share my life with. Sincerely, Michael Alan Junak
