So things didn't go the way we wanted in this election, but as I look to the future and the job we have to do I take comfort in the knowledge that we have come so far so fast. Let there be no doubt that the world we live in is changing because of the work we are doing,  and we will not stop. What I saw in the faces of those who lined up to "defend" marriage was a lot of fear that it is our job to comfort. WE know that in our quest for equality there is nothing for the world at large to be afraid of and as we walk in the world with our heads held high in the beauty of our truth, each and every person we meet along the way brings us one step closer to a world where we all get to love as equals. Thank you for all each of you do in walking the world as proud and loving members of the world community, and I hope in these next few years that we cross paths on the roads we travel.
