 Sipowicz and Sorenson are beyond frustrated when the FBI and Internal Affairs show up and meddle with their investigation of a family of dirty cops who may have been involved in a robbery-homicide. Meanwhile, Tommy Ibarra (Chad Allen) is led into Costas’ office. Tommy refuses to cooperate with the investigation. But Costas informs him that police will soon raid Freddie Asuncion’s drug stash. If Tommy does not cooperate, police will let slip that he was the informant that led officers to the narcotics. Iberra admits that he witnessed Freddie commit the murder.
side note: A funny
tidbit is that Sipowicz (Dennis Franz) says that Ibarra should rather be
dropped in some “little town in the west” instead of Las Vegas when Ibarra
agrees to say what he knows about Freddie and wants to move to a different
location… Chad had just came of his stint on
Dr.
Quinn Medicine Woman at that time, so the joke was cleverly
written in by the scriptwriters.
